Recently, a member of TPAQ sought our assistance after receiving an unjust and unfounded allegation of misconduct (unrelated to child protection).

This member was taken into a spontaneous meeting with their principal and told that they would be referred to the Ethics Committee for investigation. Unfortunately, the member was denied their support person during this meeting, which was understandably overwhelming and intimidating.

We also ensured that the member was provided with a support person for all future meetings and discussions related to the investigation.

We found that there was no basis for the allegation and that the member had acted appropriately and ethically in their teaching. As a result, the investigation against the member was closed, and their reputation was restored.
