About Us
Who we are
The Teachers' Professional Association of Queensland (TPAQ) is a professional association whose principal purpose is to protect and promote the interests of members in matters concerning their employment or professional engagement. No membership fees are used to support any political party (including the ALP), so we are able to source and/or provide representation for all members, on all issues, better than our competitors. Savings of over $484 are just the beginning.
What we believe
The Teachers' Professional Association of Queensland is a group of teachers who want to provide an alternate voice to the QTU. They wanted to join 10's of thousands of other workers who had decided to form independent associations under the Red Union banner.
TPAQ supports:
- Backing teachers when it matters as teachers are being forced to rely on Government sanctioned puppet unions that do not back teachers.
- Improving teacher workloads
- More teachers being offered FT positions.
- Restoring trust in teachers.
- Decreasing the over-reliance on teachers to parent children.
- Protection from workplace bullying and violence from pupils parents and administration.
TPAQ remains fully committed to defending your right to perform your work without unnecessary interference from Government bureaucrats and respects the educational training undergone to achieve this right.
