Teachers’ Professional Association of Queensland Secretary Edward Schuller says the changes to Queensland’s Education Bill are all about “centralised power”.
Mr Schuller joined Sky News host Andrew Bolt to discuss the changes to Queensland’s education system.
“The state government’s objectives on this, their motive has been very clear all along, it’s the same as it always has been,” he said.
“It’s about ripping away local decision-making from schools and giving it to a bloated bureaucracy.
“They want to increase the size of that so that they can reinforce a centralised system which is dysfunctional, and people are starting to wake up to it.”
