Being cleared once does not always end it.
Our member, a teacher, was investigated after a parent complained about how they ran an extracurricular activity. Every complaint was found unsubstantiated.
That should have been the end of it. Instead the parent kept pushing, and the school issued a formal allegations letter covering the same complaints that had just been investigated, plus new ones.
Our member came to TPAA. Their case manager went through the allegations with them and helped build the written response.
The outcome came back unsubstantiated again, with no further action.
From first contact to the second clearance took about three weeks.
If you are asked to answer allegations in writing, get help with the response before you send it.
How is the TPAA so effective in defending members during workplace issues and disputes? Our experienced and professional case managers use our unique RED™ case resolution system.
Why is the TPAA different? We believe that real change in education STARTS with empowering educators, not bureaucrats.
